The prices were comparable, but the value of the KitchenAid spiralizer hugely outweighed the other. I like everything about my purchase, so I took the other machine back. I was concerned that the main piece was just wiped down, until I realized that it doesn't touch the food. I made a quasi pasta salad without pasta. We like the box/case to hold all the pieces nicely. Then I used it and was thrilled! So is my husband. When it arrived, I was very happy with everything I saw. The KitchenAid Spiralizer was highly recommended and not much more in price than the hand spiralizer from Asia I had purchased. So I looked at other options on the internet. Unlike my mother, I am not a kitchen gadget collector. I brought it home and after examining it noticed some drawbacks. I was interested in making zoodles, so I went to my local kitchen gadget store and purchased the only one they had in stock. Carbon steel can rust over time if not washed and dried thoroughly, but it is very sharp and can hold its edge.Love my Zoodle maker! Great addition to my KitchenAid mixer!
